This fountain pen is a beauty and made from clear maple burl. The “swirls” in the grain pattern really pop out, thanks to the multiple sanding and polishing steps and hand-finishing steps this pen has received. The pen is an Orion style and is accented with gold and black hardware.

This is a fountain pen (not a ballpoint pen) and has a screw-on cap to cover the nib and other half of the pen. The screw-on cap is not “postable” i.e. it does not screw on to the back of the pen. The German made, medium iridium nib ensures a smooth writing experience (finer or thicker nibs can be ordered separately). The pen comes with a black ink cartridge, and refills for these universal cartridges can be found at any office supply store.

The pen measures 5.25 inches in length and has a nice feel and balance when in the hand.
