Description

This pen comes in either a fountain pen or rollerball pen. The wood used is Thuya Burl. The ancient Greeks called the wood thuya, meaning sacrifice, because they used an oil distilled from it as incense in their religious ceremonies. The burls are as beautiful as they are fragrant and the Greeks and Romans vied with each other over furniture made from them. The burl has "eyes" that are perfectly round and grouped as islands in the wood.

The pen is a classic Artisan Statesman Pen designed and was with discriminating collectors in mind. Manufactured of the highest quality components, the Statesman features engraved insets on the cap and barrel ends surrounded by brilliant Rhodium plating. The writer has the ability to "post" the cap onto the pen body for writing and storage convenience. The rollerball assembly includes a rhodium-plated pen nib with a black premium Schmidt steel cartridge refill with a ceramic point (included in the purchase of your pen) and refills refills for these universal cartridges can be found at any office supply store. If you choose a fountain pen it will come with a German made two-tone medium nib with an iridium point.

This pen went through 16 sanding applications and was finished with cyanoacrylate (CA) that gives it a deep, mirror-like finish that holds up to scratches and will last for years

The pen measures 9/16' wide and 5.25" in length when closed. The pen you see in the image is the one you will receive. You will also receive a FREE GIFT BOX to protect your pen or to present as a gift.
