Handmade Redwood Lace Burl Rollerball Pen in Gold

The wood used for this pen is beautiful redwood lace burl coming from trees native to California and which tower above other trees. The wood has a distinctive red hue with beautiful eyes and swirls that really pop out. The pen is an Orion style and is accented with gold and black hardware. This pen went through 16 sanding applications and was finished with cyanoacrylate (CA) that gives it a deep, mirror-like finish that holds up to scratches and will last for years

This rollerball version has a screw-on cap to cover the nib and other half of the pen and the cap can be “posted” on the back when writing. The rollerball includes a rhodium-plated pen nib with a black premium Schmidt steel cartridge refill with a ceramic point (included in the purchase of your pen) and refills refills for these universal cartridges can be found at any office supply store. The pen measures 5.50 inches in length and has a nice feel and balance when in the hand.
