Now this is another special pen that I made from wood acquired during a recent trip to Japan. This wood is Japanese Rosewood, locally known as "ruby wood" due to its deep red color. The wood polishes so well that it has the appearance of marble! There is subtle darker red streak in the grain pattern as well.

This pen style is a modified version of the Flat Top American Screw Cap Roller Ball but also features a new stylish domed cap finial, all metal nib and sections and a classic designed center band. The cap screws on barrel with a fast 1/4 turn (Quad Thread) and the cap posts on end of barrel with a fast 1/4 turn.

This pen went through 16 sanding applications and was finished with cyanoacrylate (CA) that gives it a deep, mirror-like finish that holds up to scratches and will last for years

The pen measures 5 inches in length when closed or 6 inches when posted and has a nice feel and balance when in the hand.
