Handcrafted Black Ash Burl Wood Rollerball Pen in Gold

Description

This two-toned wood pen is made from the same sample of wood. The lighter shade was a perfect fit for the cap of this pen, and the grain matches and continues with the lower portion of the pen. Black ash is one of the beautiful and popular species of woods used in pen turning. This pen is a Navigator style pen with a six faceted nib and black and cobalt gold accents which complements the wood nicely. The cap and base were turned with subtle curves to give it a unique look. The cap may be screwed on to the back of the pen for storage when writing.

The pen uses a Schmidt type of rollerball cartridge that ensures a smooth writing experience and refills for these universal cartridges can be found at any office supply store.

This pen went through 16 sanding applications and was finished with cyanoacrylate (CA) that gives it a deep, mirror-like finish that holds up to scratches and will last for years.

The pen measures 5.0 inches in length.
